Uli Gal-Oz, CEO of SleepRate, is responsible for driving the company's vision, strategy and growth to help millions of people improve their sleep and have a better quality of life. He is a serial entrepreneur with 30 years of extensive experience leading a diverse range of technology companies and has deep expertise in product, engineering, sales and business development.
Prior to SleepRate, Uli was VP of Business Development at Tango where he strategically aligned the company with mobile titans Samsung, HTC, LG and Nokia; major wireless carriers including Verizon; Microsoft for WP8; and content partnerships with Warner Music Group, Sesame Street, Marvel and American Greetings. These partnerships and new content-focused product initiatives helped the company reach more than 100 million people around the world.
Prior to Tango, he was CEO of visual search engine Superfish, where he drove the company’s vision, business and product strategy, and developed strategic partnerships with several ecommerce giants including eBay. Prior to Superfish, Uli was CEO of storage networking company Sanrad, and CEO of Aisys, an EDA company.
Uli received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He holds patents, including the Method for Defragmenting of Virtual Volumes in a Storage Area Network.

Dr. Anda Baharav, MD, is the founder and Chief Scientist at SleepRate where she is responsible for creating simple means to detect overt and latent sleep disturbances using the connection between the brain and the heart. She identified how Sleep-Wake transitions and different sleep stages correlate with the instantaneous fluctuations of the Heart Rate. Thus, sophisticated mathematical analysis of the Heart Rate Variability and additional features extracted from the Electrocardigram became the core of SleepRate’s technology. She tirelessly looks to learn more about the importance of sleep and develop solutions to help millions of people with poor sleep get the rest they need.
Dr. Baharav developed her expertise in Sleep Medicine as a researcher at the Medical Physics Department at Tel Aviv University. She also served as a faculty member with the Department of Pediatrics at Tel Aviv University for six years.
Her clinical experience in Sleep Medicine includes more than 20 years working as an Attending Physician at prestigious medical centers including: Sleep Disorders Center and Laboratory, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem; Sleep and Fatigue Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer; Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Center for Sleep Disorders, Dana Children’s Hospital, Tel Aviv; Sourasky Medical Center, Tel Aviv; and the Department of Pediatrics, Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel, Petach-Tikvah.
Dr. Baharav is published regularly in medical journals, with over 25 publications in the field, and holds patents for her sleep research. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Physics at the Sackler School of Physics and Astronomy, and M.D. degree at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Eyal joined HypnoCore (now SleepRate) at the end of 2006 and brings with her a multi-disciplinary approach based on medical, physical, optical and signal processing knowledge. She has experience in planning, executing and analyzing physical and biomedical studies and has extensive knowledge of non-linear dynamics.

Dr. Mickey Trockel is a board certified psychiatrist and specializes in cognitive and behavioral strategies for treatment of clinical problems such as anxiety, insomnia, and depression. Dr. Trockel is on the clinical faculty at Stanford University where, in addition to his clinical work, he teaches medical students, trains other mental health professionals, and conducts research. He regularly publishes in peer reviewed medical and psychology journals.
Dr. Trockel’s early report showing the relationship between sleep habits and academic performance of university students has been cited over 200 times. One of his subsequent publications reported the effectiveness of an e-mail delivered self-help sleep improvement program he and his colleagues developed at Stanford, based on cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) strategies. Some of Dr. Trockel’s recent publications focus on the effectiveness of CBT-I, based on analysis of data gathered from patients treated by therapists participating in the largest CBT-I training program in the United States.

Her clinical and research expertise are in behavioral medicine with specializations in sleep and sexual health. She has made numerous presentations and published articles in the area of sleep and sexual medicine. Dr. Blair is on the adjunct faculty at The Stanford Center for Sleep Sciences and Medicine. Sonia Ancoli-Israel, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Director of the Gillin Sleep and Chronomedicine Research Center, Director of Education at the Sleep Medicine Center at UCSD and Deputy Director of the UCSD Stein Institute for Research on Aging. Dr. Ancoli-Israel received her Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, a Master’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Ancoli-Israel’s expertise is in the field of sleep disorders and sleep research in aging. Her current interests include the longitudinal effect of sleep disorders on aging, the effect of circadian rhythms on sleep, therapeutic interventions for sleep problems in dementia, and fatigue, particularly the relationship between sleep, fatigue and circadian rhythms in cancer and other chronic illnesses.

Wendy M. Troxel is a clinical psychologist and certified behavioral sleep medicine specialist. She is a Behavioral and Social Scientist at the RAND Corporation and holds Adjunct faculty positions in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Troxel’s research focuses on how sleep and sleep disorders influence social relationships and health. Specifically, Dr. Troxel is an expert on sleep within couples, including how sleep affects and is affected by couples’ relationship quality. Her current research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense, and includes studies in both civilian and military populations. Dr. Troxel has published her work in top-tier medical and psychological journals. She is also widely cited in the national and international media, including the “Wall Street Journal” and “New York Times”, and on-camera interviews for several major news outlets, including ABC “World News Tonight” and CBS “Sunday Morning”.
Dr. Troxel is also an active clinician and clinical educator in the area of behavioral sleep medicine. She is the founder and former Co-Director of the accredited Behavioral Sleep Medicine training program at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
